WHAT IS COQ10?

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a vitamin-like compound that plays a central role in cellular energy production. CoQ10 is naturally found in every cell of the body, but is in high concentration in organs that have high energy requirements such as the heart, liver and kidney. The amount of CoQ10 in the body tends to decline with age and may contribute to fatigue and other health conditions.  


Supplementation with CoQ10 is often recommended for those 40 years or older because of this tendency for the amount of CoQ10 in the body to decline with age. Statin drugs may decrease the amount of usable CoQ10 in the body and for that reason, many doctors recommend that patients on statin drugs also supplement their diet with CoQ10.

Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) - CoQ10

It is found in all tissue but is especially high in tissues with high metabolic requirements (i.e., heart, kidney, liver, neurological). This also supports the breakdown of simple carbohydrates (Maltose).

Glutathione, also known as GSH, is a molecule found in your body. Produced byt the liver as well as by neurons in the central nervous system, it is made up of three amino acids: L-cysteine, glycine, and L-glutamate. Linoleic acid

A polyunsaturated essential fatty acid that is found mostly in plant oils. It's known as the parent fatty acid of omega-6 series, and it is essential for human nutrition because it cannot be synthesized by the body. Like all fatty acids, linoleic acid is used by the body as a source of energy. It plays a special role in the support of heart health, reduces total and LDL cholesterol, has some evidence that it also improves insulin sensitivity and blood pressure.

Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs)

MCTs are medium-length chains of fats called triglycerides. These fats are easily digested and when ingested promote weight loss, may help reduce blood sugar levels, support diabetes, control cholesterol, are instant fuel for energy, may help reduce lactic acid in the body and could help manage epilepsy, Alzheimer's Disease and Autism. A naturally occuring long-chain fatty acid in various animal and vegetable fats and oils. It is an odorless, colorless oil and is classified as a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Palmitic acid

Palmitic acid, also known as palmitate or C16, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as long-chain fatty acids, omega-7. Palmitic acid is the most common saturated fatty acid found in the liver and tissue of the body. Other sources come from animal meats, dairy, as well as palm and coconut oils. The main functions of this acid is to allow water to combine with oil and dirt molecules and wash them away.
